AT&T to Tweak its GoPhone Plans

The cheapest cell phone wars continue to rage on as expected. Coming October 3, AT&T is going to make a new addition to their GoPhone plans. according to phonescoop.com. Here is an excerpt:

GoPhone customers can take advantage of the Unlimited Daily Talk and Text plan now for $2 per day (on days the phone is actually used). GoPhone will also offer an unlimited talk and text plan for $60 per month, and an unlimited talk and text plan with 200MB of data for $75 per month. Last, AT&T is offering new Simple Rate plans that charge $0.10 per minute for voice calls.

The prices while not jaw dropping are a step in the right direction and the much hated cell phone contract is phased out due to alternative prepaid plans like this or the ones offered by Metro PCS or Cricket Wireless. This is good folks, but I suspect that prices will continue to get better. Finally the bigger companies are getting it. Until next time.
