AT&T to Tweak its GoPhone Plans
The cheapest cell phone wars continue to rage on as expected. Coming October 3, AT&T is going to make a new addition to their GoPhone plans. according to phonescoop.com. Here is an excerpt:
GoPhone customers can take advantage of the Unlimited Daily Talk and Text plan now for $2 per day (on days the phone is actually used). GoPhone will also offer an unlimited talk and text plan for $60 per month, and an unlimited talk and text plan with 200MB of data for $75 per month. Last, AT&T is offering new Simple Rate plans that charge $0.10 per minute for voice calls.
The prices while not jaw dropping are a step in the right direction and the much hated cell phone contract is phased out due to alternative prepaid plans like this or the ones offered by Metro PCS or Cricket Wireless. This is good folks, but I suspect that prices will continue to get better. Finally the bigger companies are getting it. Until next time.

Why You Need Fring On Your Cell Phone Now!
Fring is a free mobile phone app that connects all your friends and all their social networks into one place. Also allows you to make free cell phone calls and video calls by way your cell phone data connection. In theory this means that you could switch your plan to the cheapest cell phone plan, get all your friends on Fring, thereby lowering your cell phone bill if you would normally use a lot of minutes talking to friends and family members. I say in theory because, I have a feeling that if this catches on, the major Wireless providers may react if this app starts to hurt the bottom line. Get your download here at www.fring.com

T-Mobile Blocking Certain Text Messages?
T-Mobile is currently being sued by a sued by a Text Message company for "allegedly blocking access to the T-Mobile network because of a client that provided information on medical marijuana". This action by one of the cheapest cell phone providers has raised a few eyebrows. There are those who are watching this as it could have major repercussions in regards to Net-Neutrality. Some believe that this maybe a blatant freedom of speech situation. Either way, when it comes to the internet and data transmissions, this is a situation that bares watching. Service providers don't want Net-Neutrality, and what T-Mobile is being sued for could only be a taste of things to come. Read more at CNet.com.
